Introducing the Teutonia T-linx!

Introducing the all new Teutonia T-linx, the latest stroller from Teutonia which just made it’s debut at Strolling in Style this week! The following is a breakdown of some of the best features of the T-linx and how it stands up to it’s industry competitors.

The Teutonia T-linx stroller, like the Bugaboo Frog, has a reversible seat and a reversible handle. With two different wheel sizes the T-linx won’t push the same with the back wheels in front (like the Bugaboo Frog), but a reversible handle is excellent for easy access to baby and quick parent facing reaction time (think screaming toddler, even if you have to fish-tail a bit for a few minutes). Also, the handle can be lowered for situations like busy restaurants; the handle can be pushed underneath the table and the stroller will be able to sit closer to the table like a high chair. The T-linx reversible handle is a one handed easy operation, compared the two hand of the Bugaboo Frog or the Bumbleride Flyer. Also, compared to the Bumbleride Flyer the seat is reversible as well.

To continue with our comparison, like the Bugaboo Frog, the Teutonia T-linx seat must be removed to fold, a step that is eliminated with strollers such as the Bumbleride Flyer and Uppababy Vista. On the T-linx, a lever on each side of the seat must be pulled up and the seat lifts off the frame. The seat is relatively lightweight, and easy to manage and has about the same depth and width of the seat on the UPPAbaby Vista. The folding mechanism on the T-linx is a three step process that involves lowering the handle down, then pressing a button and pulling upwards. The stroller frame folds very compact, and is the only Teutonia stroller that will fit in a regular size car trunk.

With every good thing comes a downside. Storage wise, the T-linx is lacking. The small parcel tray on located under the seat frame unit is barely bit enough to fit a small purse, so forget toting a huge diaper bag. Also, because the frame is so lightweight, hanging things from the handle might not be the best idea. The sunshade on the T-linx falls short as well, although the mesh backing which can be covered up as well, allows for good ventilation for the child. The other downfall is that there is no carrycot option thus far. One is expected to be coming out later on in 2010.

As far as value, the Teutonia T-linx system has it. The T-linx will take you from the birth of your newborn to toddler because it includes your two basic needs- a stroller and a car seat. The travel system includes the stroller, seat, rain cover, t-tario 35 infant car seat and base, and infant car seat adapter all at the price of what some strollers cost with no car seat. A system with a brand made car seat is rare in this industry (think Orbit) and you will not have to worry about purchasing a separate car seat adapter. The T-tario 35 car seat, co engineered with Graco, has been thoughtfully constructed and rigourously tested for safety, including side impact testing to keep your baby secure from 5 to 35lbs and 32 inches. The car seat includes a removable infant head support, privacy shade (again, think Orbit) and the EPS, energy absorbing foam. The great part about the T-Tario 35 car seat is that it will last you a lot longer as far as usage than the regular Graco Snugride car seat and the fabrics are extremely fine. You can also purchase a T-duo Mini cushion in coordinating fashions for the car seat to dress up the newborn ride.

When a new product hits the market, it is sometimes difficult to see forward, and to know when a new product hits the market whether or not it is built to last and outstand the test of time. Thankfully, the Teutonia company stands behind their products with an industry leading three year warranty. This shows us and you that they really believe that the new Teutonia T-linx product is built to the same level of care as the T-series strollers. Also, with us and the Stroller Doctor on your side, we promise the utmost in customer service. Please throw us your comments, we would love to see what you think of Teutonia’s new product the T-linx!
