We are getting closer to 2011 and that means that the clock is ticking towards the time when we will soon see the 2011 version of some of the most popular strollers from the 2010 model year! This is exciting since we love seeing the improvements that the companies make to their strollers. Improvements are based on feedback- from retailers and from consumers so it is especially exciting that the Baby Jogger company actually listens! Baby Jogger is known for innovation so it is not surprising that they are constantly improving on a good thing!
For the 2011 version of the City Select stroller what Baby Jogger left unsurprisingly unchanged is the chassis! Baby Jogger has decided not to make any changes to the actual chassis (frame) of the City Select, and there would be no reason to in our opinion. The sturdy aluminum frame, rubber grip, hand brake and high quality durable foam and rubber tires make for a great smooth ride!
2011 City Select Seat
What Baby Jogger has decided to change or improve, is the structure of the seat units. For 2011, the seat on the City Select is going to remain the same size. However, instead of a soft seat bottom, it will have a hard seat bottom, more like the Bugaboo Frog or Cameleon. There will be a bit more padding on the backrest of the seat. Also, the seat will have more depth and the stitching on the seat will be a vertical stitch instead of horizontal. See picture!
