The Mama’s and Papa’s brand is known world wide for “inspiring parents to create a world of quality style and creativity for babies.” Indeed the brand is one of the most innovative brands in the industry and we’re happy to have them here in the U.S and in our showroom!

The trend for lighter weight, reversible seat strollers that are functionally similar to the larger and more comfortable systems available is growing. With the pending release of the UPPAbaby Cruz and others companies soon to be following the same trend, Mama’s and Papas is truly a forerunner in considering this type of product. The two strollers available in the Mama’s and Papa’s line in the lighter weight reversible seat category are the Urbo and Sola.

Urbo, with it’s light and sleek aluminum chassis and luxurious fabric is as functional as any of the more fully featured strollers on the market. At only twenty pounds, it has an easy to reverse seat, baby can sit facing parent or facing the world. Urbo features an adjustable height handle, and a comfortable stitched leatherette handle, that looks and feels high-end. Your baby also has a stitched leatherette front carry bar that can be both removed and will swing open. The Urbo canopy is huge, offering ample sun protection, and the seat reclines at a full 180 degrees. The seat on the Urbo will fold in the forward facing position. There is also a bassinet option for newborns as well as both Graco and Maxi Cosi car seat adapters for those who like to use their stroller as a travel system.

The Mama’s and Papa’s Sola stroller takes a step down in price but does not lack any of the features of the Urbo. Sola is both bassinet and car seat compatible (both as options sold separately) and also features an easy to use reversible seat option. The main differences between the two strollers are as follows.

  • Weight (Sola is about two pounds heavier)
  • Fabrics (canvas on the Sola versus a softer more luxurious fabric on the Urbo)
  • Adjustable handle versus telescopic.
  • Larger basket and larger wheels in the back.

Also, with the use of funky designer fabrics, Sola takes pattern to the high end market with some serious attitude.
